If you are not a Woodland resident but want your child to attend a Woodland school, parents must go to their district of residence to start the Inter-District transfer process.  If you are a non-resident but work in Woodland and want your child to attend a Woodland school, please contact Reyna Madueño for more information.

Inter-District Agreements (IDA) are renewed annually.

The District will start accepting IDA's for the 2015-16 school year

beginning Monday, March 2, 2015.

GRADES 7-12 OPEN ENROLLMENT FOR THE 2015-16 SCHOOL YEAR

Open Enrollment window for incoming students in Grades 7-12 for the

2015-2016 school year is:

JANUARY 12 - JANUARY 23, 2015

 

Open Enrollment applications can be picked up at any secondary school (Douglass or Lee Middle Schools or Pioneer or Woodland High Schools) during the application window.  In order for the application to be considered, parent must ensure that students are enrolled in their neighborhood school in the District.

 

All completed  applications, along with proof of residency, must be returned directly to your neighborhood secondary school

by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, January 23, 2015.

(APPLICATIONS RECEIVED AFTER 1/23/15, WILL BE MARKED "LATE")

2015-2016 School Year - TRANSITIONAL KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATIONS BEING ACCEPTED MARCH 2, 2015

The Woodland Joint Unified School District is again offering Transitional Kindergarten (TK) to eligible children for the 2015-16 school year. A child is eligible for transitional kindergarten if they have their fifth (5th) birthday between (EC 48000[c]) September 2, 2015 and December 2, 2016. They are eligible for TK, but are not eligible for Kindergarten enrollment. Questions, please call Reyna Madueño at (530) 406-3210.

 

The school sites with TK classrooms are: Gibson, Maxwell, Woodland Prairie, Tafoya and Whitehead Elementary Schools. Parents must apply and submit their applications at their neighborhood school (NO EXCEPTIONS).  No Intra-District Open Enrollment for TK students.

STARTING MARCH 2, 2015: KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION FOR THE SCHOOL YEAR 2015-2016

All elementary schools in the Woodland Joint Unified School District will begin accepting Kindergarten registration paperwork starting at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, March 2, 2015

Enrollment takes place at your neighborhood school on a first-come, first-served basis. Every attempt will be made to place new students at their neighborhood school. The District cannot guarantee such placement, however, and reserves the right to place new students at other schools (for the balance of the current school year) within the District as necessary when a grade-level enrollment capacity is reached at a particular school.

 

Children are eligible for Kindergarten if they will be five (5) years of age on or before September 1.

 

Your registration is complete when the following documents are returned to your neighborhood school:

  • Proof of Birth (a COPY of the original Birth Certificate, Passport or Baptismal Certificate confirming that your child was born on or before September 1 (for the 2014-2015 school year) of the school year.
  • Proof of Immunizations (a COPY of immunization records with annotated pysician signatures verifying dates of immunizations is required)
  • Proof of Residency (a COPY of TWO of the following documents:
  1. Utility service payment receipt (gas/electric/water/garbage/cable/home telephone) indicating the street address and parent/guardian name.
  2. Mortgage payment receipt indicating the street address and parent/guardian name.
  3. Escrow papers with closing date and escrow # indicating the street address and parent/guardian name.
  4. Rent payment receipt or rental agreement on official letterhead including the manager's or owner's name and phone number indicating the street address and the parent's or guardian's name.
  5. Home Insurance receipt indicating the street address and parent/guardian name.

Upon enrollment of a student residing in the home of a care giving adult within District boundaries, the care giving adult shall execute, under penalty of perjury, the affidavit specified in Family Code 6552.
