If you are not a Woodland resident but want your child to attend a Woodland school, parents must go to their district of residence to start the Inter-District transfer process.  If you are a non-resident but work in Woodland and want your child to attend a Woodland school, please contact Reyna Madueno for more information.

The District is now accepting IDA applications for the 2013-2014 school year.

2013-2014 School Year - TRANSITIONAL KINDERGARTEN

The Woodland Joint Unified School District offers Transitional Kindergarten to eligible children. A child is eligible for Transitional Kindergarten if they have their fifth birthday between (EC 48000[c]) October 2, 2008 and December 2, 2008 for the 2013-2014 school year. They are eligible for Transitional Kinder, but are not eligible for Kindergarten enrollment. Registration for Transitional Kindergarten starts Monday, March 4 at your neighborhood school.

The District currently has two Transitional Kinder classes, one held at Woodland Prairie Elementary School and the other at Maxwell Elementary School.

For the 2013-2014 school, the District will have four (4) Transitional Kinder classes at the following schools: Maxwell, Woodland Prairie, Dingle, and Gibson Elementary Schools. Please click the Fact Sheet link below to see how the attendance areas have been split into feeder schools.

KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATIONS FOR 2013-2014 NOW BEING ACCEPTED AT YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD SCHOOL

Kindergarten registration for the next school year, 2013-2014, are now being accepted at all WJUSD elementary schools. 

Schools will distribute/accept enrollment information at 9:00 a.m. each day.

In order to be eligible for Kindergarten in the 2013-14 school year, students must be five (5) years of age on or before October 1, 2013. 

 

Parents will need the following documents to register:

  • Proof of birth (birth certificate/ passport/ baptismal certificate)
  • Proof of immunizations (student must have all shots by the first day of school)
  • Two (2) documents as proof of address (utility bill/ rent receipt/ rental agreement/ mortgage or escrow papers/ property tax receipt/ home or renters insurance)
