New PIQE Courses Start in March

Woodland Joint Unified School District (WJUSD) is offering another session of Parent Institute for Quality Education (PIQE) courses that start soon.  

Parents are invited to attend the orientation where they can officially register for the program. Advance registration is not required and parents may attend any of the school sites offering the program. PIQE is an 11-week course (nine weeks of the original program with two weeks added to cover Science, Technology, Engineering and Math subjects) that provides families with information on different topics each week, including:

  • Navigating the school system
  • Reviewing your child’s progress
  • Maximizing your teacher conference time
  • Information on college requirements and scholarship opportunities
  • Building your child’s self-esteem through academic achievement

The PIQE Level I course is open to new participants. Participants must have completed Level 1 to enroll in Level 2. Classes are available in English or Spanish. The upcoming session schedule is as follows:

Dinner/breakfast and child care will be provided at each class session. If an interested participant is not available for the first class, they can complete registration by attending a future session.
