“We want our summer school students to be able to focus on their learning, not the heat,” said Stacy Spector, Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services.
The District is currently:
- Ensuring that water is available to students and staff
- Modifying outside and physical education activities
- Encouraging students to wear light clothing to school, while still following dress code
- Monitoring all ventilation/air conditioning systems
The District will continue to collaborate with each school site and make changes as needed to ensure students and staff are as comfortable as possible.
