WJUSD Recognizes Yolo County Office of Education for their Support

The Woodland Joint Unified School District (WJUSD) Board of Trustees recognized the Yolo County Office of Education (YCOE) as an Unsung Hero during the Oct. 27 Board Meeting.

The YCOE provides fiscal, instructional, programmatic and special education support to Districts throughout Yolo County. Throughout the year, staff from both organizations partner to provide the best education possible for Woodland students.

“Woodland Joint Unified is a better district because of the support we receive from the Yolo County Office of Education,” said WJUSD Superintendent Tom Pritchard. “They work alongside with our staff to collaborate, give advice and help us with creative solutions.”

YCOE Superintendent Dr. Jesse Ortiz, Deputy Superintendent Dr. Rhonda DaRosa, Assistant Superintendent Garth Lewis, Executive Director Margie Valenzuela and Program Specialist Maria Chairez, as well as Yolo County Board of Education Trustees Dr. Cirenio Rodriquez and Shelton Yip, attended the meeting for the recognition.
