Parent Involvement Opportunities

Parent University

Parent University is intended to teach parents how to support and advocate for their children in school through classes offered at school sites, district offices and community centers, covering topics such as how to monitor grades, meet with teachers and serve on school committees.

Parent Institution for Quality Education (PIQE)

 Parent Institute for Quality Education (PIQE), is a free nine to 11 week course that provides families with information on topics such as:


Navigating the school system

  • Reviewing your child’s progress
  • Maximizing your teacher conference time
  • Information on college requirements and scholarship opportunities
  • Building your child’s self-esteem through academic achievement

Class Information:

  • PIQE LEVEL I–open to all parents/guardians
  • PIQE LEVEL II-participants must have graduated
  • All Schools will offer English/Spanish
  • Dinner/Breakfast and childcare will be provided at each class
  • If an interested participant is not available for the first class, they may complete registration by attending a future session.
