AB75 Training


We offer the following trainings under AB 75:

MODULE 1 - Leadership and Support of Student Instructional Program
MODULE 2 - Leadership and Management for Instruction Improvement
MODULE 3 - Instructional Technology to Improve Pupil Performance

** Completion of AB 75 modules 1, 2, and 3 (and the additional practicum) will fulfill the requirement for the tier 2 administrative credential

What is the goal of AB 75?
The goal of AB 75 is to develop principals who are able to establish sound and clear instructional goals, who collaboratively develop data-driven instructional strategies, and who can lead a school through powerful instructional change.

MODULE 1 - Leadership and Support of Student Instructional Program

  • Learn core academic standards
  • Learn the curriculum frameworks and instructional materials aligned to the content standards
  • Elementary - ELA and Math (Houghton-Mifflin)
  • Middle Schools - ELA (Holt, Rinehart and Winston)
  • High Schools - ELA (Holt, Rinehart and Winston)

MODULE 2 - Leadership and Management for Instruction Improvement

  • Learn to compile and analyze data
  • Learn how to leverage community funds
  • Learn effective methods of evaluating, motivating and improving teacher performance

MODULE 3 - Instructional Technology to Improve Pupil Performance

  • Learn about the available instructional resources
  • Learn financial management technology
  • Learn academic data management

PRACTICUM
Eighty hours of practicum are required to complete the training. Each administrator will receive a Practicum Hours Verification Report. A list of suggested practicum activities are addressed during the training and are included on the Verification Report. Suggested hours include: attending AB 466 training, creating school web pages, and analyzing or communicating assessments with your staff.
