WJUSD utilizes Frontline Education (formerly known as Aesop) to place substitutes in assignments. Once you are signed up as a substitute, you will be invited via email to create your login to access Frontline on the web.
We are hiring for the following substitute positions. Classified substitutes will be compensated at Step 1 of the CSEA salary schedule for the position, which they are filling. Applications are accepted online at www.edjoin.org for the substitute opportunities listed below.

Paper applications are only available for the following positions. Applications can be picked up at the District Office.
All new candidates interested in substitute teaching in the Woodland Joint Unified School District must meet the following requirements:
Hold a teaching credential based on a degree and student teaching OR
Be eligible to apply for an Emergency 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit which has the minimum requirements of:
Must possess a bachelor’s degree or higher; and
Passed the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST) or CSET Multiple Subject with Writing
Certificate of Clearance

WJUSD offers an increased rate of pay for guest teachers that have completed the Substitute Training/Professional Development class. If you are interested in taking the online Substitute Training/Professional Development class, please contact Jessica Purcell at Jessica.Purcell@wjusd.org. You will be provided with an online coupon code and instructions via email.
WJUSD allows substitutes to specify which subjects they are interested in covering, as well as which grade level(s), and school sites.
