The Woodland Joint Unified School District Board of Trustees recently held a special board meeting on Saturday, Feb. 11, at which the Community Stadium Committee was formed. Moving forward, information regarding this committee and project updates will be posted on this website.
Current Project Status: The WJUSD Board of Trustees has set aside a total of $2.5 million for the stadium project. The Board plans to allocate an additional $1.5 million in the 2017-18 school year as funding is available. The District is working with community members to identify the best course of action moving forward.
The Woodland High School Community Stadium Committee met on Thursday, Sept. 21. At the meeting, the committee was presented with information about general timelines and potential costs for a retrofit/salvage process (that would utilize some of the existing infrastructure) and building a new stadium. Based on the fact that the retrofit/salvage process would take longer, and potentially include more unknown costs, the committee voted to make the recommendation to move forward with a new stadium. This recommendation will go to the Board and be discussed at our Sept. 28 Board Meeting.

Community Stadium Committee
The next Community Stadium Committee meeting is to be determined. Meetings take place at the WJUSD Board Room at 435 6th Street in Woodland. Meetings are open to the public.
