CARE, Curriculum Assessment, Research, and Evaluation
The Assessment and Evaluation Department of the Woodland Joint Unified School District provides support to teachers for all district and statewide assessments, including the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP), the Mathematics Diagnostic Testing Project (MDTP), and the California English Language Development Test (CELDT).  Local district assessments include iReady, Northwest Evaluation Association (NWEA), and the Beginning Phonics Skills Test (BPST).

The department also manages Aeries, which is the District’s Student Information System, and Illuminate, which is the District’s Assessment and Data Platform.  The department manages State and Federal Reporting, including reporting for the Office of Civil Rights and for the California Longitudinal Pupil Achievement Data System (CALPADS).  At the local level, the department monitors and reports on activities under the Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP).
