At-Home Testing
We are excited to announce that Woodland Joint Unified School District is participating in a pilot program, at no cost to the District, with the California Department of Public Health (CDPH). The program is called “iHealth Return from Vacation Testing Program” and the goal is to help staff and students test for Covid at-home after a vacation break to help reduce the spread of Covid at schools. CDPH has partnered with Primary.Health to offer these tests to schools and to provide a way for staff and students to register and easily report positive results.
Each staff member and student was provided with a Self-Test At Home Kit to take home and use prior to returning to work or school after the winter break.
Each kit has two (2) tests. Written instructions on how to perform the tests can be found in the box. English video instructions can be found on YouTube at How to use the iHealth COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Test. For Spanish video instructions click here.
The first test should be done 3 days prior to returning to school or work AND the other should be done the day before returning to school or work.
Negative results do not need to be reported.
If your student tests positive, please do all of the following:
1. Do NOT send your student to school on Monday. Staff members should not report to work on Monday if test results are positive.
2. Report the positive result to the District by emailing WJUSDCOVID@wjusd.org. A staff member will contact you with instructions.
3. Report the positive result to Primary Health (State of California’s positive test reporting system) in one of the following ways.
- Log into the Primary Health website to report results using the following link specifically for WJUSD staff and students: https://my.primary.health/l/woodlandjusd
OR
- Call the Primary Health phone line to log results at (650) 275-5419.
This testing is a free service and is not mandatory.
We are hopeful that these tests will support a healthy return to work and school for all of our WJUSD families and we are thankful for CDPH for providing these at no cost to our District.
