New Websites Coming Soon!

We are excited to announce that we are launching new websites for the District Office and all school sites in early October.
Keep an eye out for our new look and let us know what you think!

Volunteers Update

The California Department of Public Health has rescinded the August 2021 order requiring that all workers in California public schools either show proof of COVID vaccination or participate in weekly COVID testing. Therefore effective immediately, due to this change, we will no longer request COVID vaccination records or negative COVID tests from our school volunteers.

To apply to be a volunteer you will need:

  • A completed volunteer form (with attached vaccination card, if applicable)
  • Negative tuberculosis (TB) results attached to volunteer form
  • Fingerprinting (fee waivers will be available for families who qualify for Free & Reduced Meals)

If you are interested in volunteering, please contact your school principal to get your application process started.

WJUSD in the News

“I am very excited about my new role as the director of fiscal services. I have been with the district for 16 years and throughout my time in Woodland, the staff and community have been amazing. I’m grateful for this opportunity and I look forward to continuing to work and support our staff and families in my new role.”
- Norma Palomar, WJUSD Director of Fiscal Services

“I admire Norma’s loyalty and commitment to WJUSD. I look forward to working with her as well as watching her grow as the director of fiscal services.”
- Lewis Wiley, WJUSD Associate Superintendent of Business Services

“My priority has always been creating a culture that embraces and promotes inclusiveness, biliteracy, rigorous instructional programs, and high expectations for all students and staff. I am a proud daughter of a migrant family, a former English Learner, and a parent of four sons who graduated from Woodland High School. Because of my personal and professional experience, and living in Woodland for 17 years, I understand and identify with the needs of our community. So I’m very excited about partnering with families to ensure the success of each and every student.”
