Student device troubleshooting

Student device troubleshooting

 

If your Student is having issues with their Chromebook try these steps.

  • Shutdown the chromebook: Press and hold the power button until chromebook is off and then turn it back on.
  • Perform a Hard Reset: Hold down the Refresh key (circular arrow, usually above the 4 key) and tap the Power button.
  • Check for Updates: Go to Settings > About Chrome OS > Check for updates.
  • If you are still having Technical issues Please reach out to your Students School Librarian so the device may be swapped. 
 
 

If your Student is having issues with their Hotspot try these steps.

  • Battery Charged: Make sure the hotspot has power, if not connect the USB-C charger to the hotspot and power outlet.
  • Correct Username/Password: Double check the Username/Password on the hotspot (can be found on a sticker on the back or by tapping the power button to cycle to the Wifi name and password. 
  • Restart the Hotspot: Power it off, wait, and turn it back on.
  • Check Signal and Location: Ensure the hotspot is powered and has cellular reception. Place it near a window to improve the signal.
  • If you are still having Technical issues Please reach out to your Students School Librarian so the device may be swapped.
